Love

Did you know that the word LOVE is mentioned in the Bible 314 times, FRIEND 56 times. Last Wed, I had to speak at the See You At The Pole. Completely scared the living daylights outta me. I am not one to speak in front of people. My topic was school, so I went with the friends thing, after all they are the ones who put the most pressure on us. Judging who we talk to, how we talk, dress etc.. They are also the ones to put pressure on us to do things we don't want to do. So as my circle got larger, I became more nervous and to be honest I don't know that I got my point across. I made it through the morning, so that in itself is a great accomplishment.
I try to express to the youth group about how important love is, if we all love each other which might sound corny, but all other things will work out. Not to say that we have to let people run us over and do things we don't feel comfortable doing.
Pray for our youth, they really have a tough time, just being themselves. Pray for our church and that God will provide us with a music leader and give the youth a Youth pastor, not just a leader.

Blogging

I haven't blogged in forever it seems, usually forget about it. I don't want to have a blog where I am constantly gripping about the daily goings on in my life.
I do have to admit that facebook seems to have taken the place of this site.
I am currently praying for a new job, one that will still be with the city, I won't lose any of my years of service etc.. Just depends on if the current court clerk can retire early. It would mean working daytime hours only, holidays and weekends off. I could actually have a life again. May be able to lose some weight, work out and maybe even work out with my kids.
So anyway that said if you read this post say a quick prayer that I can move into the position.
Thank you and may you have a blessed day!

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together, never to be separated again.
Saying Goodbye is never easy, especially to a four legged family member. That sweet personality can never be replaced. Dazz will be in our hearts forever.

Who knew that this would be the last pic of Dazz.

Happier times.

When we first got him, he was always ready to play, always ready for love. I told my kids that God's love is like that of a pet, no matter how many times we ignore him, curse him, kick him and push him away, he's still right there just waiting for us to accept his love.
